Biography

Julian Adam Burdzyński, known professionally as VIRDEM, is a multidisciplinary artist and the founder of the independent music label Aleph Zero Productions. Its work operates at the nexus of jazz, IDM, post-rock, and electroacoustic music, synthesizing these genres into a distinct, experimental electronic sound.

A first-generation musician born to two bass players, it was immersed in a deeply musical environment from infancy. This exposure led it to begin formal drum study at the age of five, laying a rhythmic foundation that would later support its mastery of keyboard, bass, and guitar. This multi-instrumental proficiency allows for an intimately hands-on and texturally rich approach to composition and production.

Beyond music, VIRDEM's creative practice extends into writing and drawing, disciplines that continuously inform and cross-pollinate its sonic explorations. Through both its artistic output and its curatorial work with Aleph Zero Productions, it is committed to advancing the frontiers of contemporary electronic and instrumental music.
