Ontario Burial Service Orchestra

Ontario Burial Service Orchestra (also shortened to OBSO), born as a side project to Julian Adam Burdzyński's VIRDEM, is an ambiguous musical "group" that dashes between being single-artist and a collective identity. Primarily, all composition, arrangement and production is done by Burdzyński whilst occasionally adding performers from other Aleph Zero groups such as Eris K. Valden of Novarise and Markus Bauer of Liability Waiver.

The process of Ontario Burial Service Orchestra's music is a complex mix of improvisation, sheet music, performance and MIDI composition, making a distinct recording sound to their music. Primarily deriving from the orchestral post-rock scene, Ontario Burial Service Orchestra keeps a gloomy yet hopeful and emotional sound to their compositions, also applying to Burdzyński's "human" feel to the music.
