elitester

elitester (generally spelled in all lowercase) is a Montenegrin musician. Born in the capital, Podgorica, he later moved to Zeta. elitester is also known as Boris Perović. The name "elitester" emerged in the 2022-2023 period and is a combination of the words "elite" and "ster," with no particular meaning beyond that.

elitester's musical history begins at the age of 7, when he briefly played the traditional Montenegrin instrument, the Gusle. During this time, he also discovered a talent for singing. He reconnected with his musical spirit at age 12, though not in a traditional form; instead, he began learning guitar in July 2024. Today, elitester occasionally writes songs. A defining characteristic is his focus on a variety of genres, such as metal, Midwest emo, ambient, and folktronica. Much of his music lyrically resembles love songs, directed toward his significant other, whom he cites as his primary motivation and muse.

Regarding instruments, elitester primarily plays guitar and has limited drumming experience, though he hopes to play drums more in the future. In addition to guitar, he also sings. Only time will tell what instrument may next capture his creative interest.
